Duties Established and growing Southern California-based strategic financial communications firm focused on small-cap publically traded companies is seeking an investor relations associate with strong communication and quantitative skills. The ideal candidate should understand the stock market and is fascinated with the world of business, particularly emerging technologies. The candidate should be well organized, highly reliable, has a great attention to detail with an outgoing, positive attitude, and an entrepreneurial spirit. The candidate will work as part of a team, and report directly to the investor relations director. The candidate will also interact with client's senior management to fulfill the following responsibilities: Job Responsibilities -Develop and maintain an overall financial communications strategy and plan -Make outgoing calls in order to establish and maintain strong relationships with investors and analysts -Organize extensive non-deal road shows, analyst days, and other marketing events -Assist with institutional ownership reporting, investor targeting efforts, and analyst consensus tracking -Participate in the preparation and coordination of quarterly and annual financial reporting, press releases and earnings calls, as well as communication of other substantive company developments -Create presentations and pitch books by researching and collecting data relevant to key company and industry issues -Monitor technology and financials news, and prepare daily morning briefings for internal and external use -Review analyst research notes and provide summaries to clients -Prepare quarterly activity reports and strategic plans Position Requirements and Skills Ideal candidates for this position should have: -Bachelors degree or more in finance, economics or other business-related field -Minimum one-year of relevant experience in investor relations, financial analysis, capital markets, or financial product sales The ideal candidate will have demonstrable skills and experiences including the following: -Ability to interpret, understand and analyze corporate financial statements -The ability to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment across multiple functional areas, management/experience levels, operating styles, and physical locations -Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills -Maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive information -Ability to perform diversified tasks and meet time sensitive deadlines that require pre-planning, scheduling, and the ability to prioritize -Strong Windows PC-based skills, particularly MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and working knowledge of ACT or other contact management software
More Info Hours are based on East Coast time (i.e., 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pacific time). Salary commensurate with experience, with opportunity to share in firmís bonus pool.
